CALIBRATION SERVICES
Many applications require the use of an instrument which has been calibrated or certified (the terms are often used interchangeably) traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Certification is performed in our ISO 17025-2005 accredited calibration laboratory by highly qualified personnel by direct comparison of the subject instrument to NIST certified master thermometers in a precision constant temperature bath.
We can offer Calibration Reports for any Liquid-in-Glass Thermometer (regardless of the manufacturer) and all types of Electronic (Digital) Thermometers from -80°C to 400°C (-112°F to 752°F), as well as any Hydrometer (regardless of the manufacturer) from 0.500 to 3.200 Specific Gravity or equivalent units of measure.
When a thermometer or hydrometer is the customer’s property and sent in for certification – we will thoroughly inspect the instrument to ensure it is eligible for certification. We make minor repairs where needed at no additional charge. If we find it is not suitable for certification, we will notify you and offer a replacement from our stock when available.
When the customer does not specify the specific test temperatures for calibration, we will recommend the ones we feel are most suitable for the particular range.
We offer two types of Calibration Reports:
- Full Test Report – This report contains test results with correction factors at various temperatures. It is traceable to NIST. See samples below.
- Certificate of Traceability – This report is traceable to NIST and contains an accuracy statement, but does not have test results. See samples below.
